Scrap Retreat

A couple times a year I go away. It's just me and a few lovely ladies who have one thing in common. We like to scrapbook. I mostly don't scrapbook except when we get together, I'm more of a social scrapbooker. So I spent the weekend in a little cabin next to a river cutting, pasting and thinking of all the good things that happened this last year. There were a lot of not so good things that happened last year so it was good to focus on the good memories without any distractions like cleaning red lipstick off of my 3 year-old's entire leg. Of course we were too busy scrapbooking to think of taking any pictures. I didn't even bring my camera! But I did eat way too many peanut M&M's, finished 18 pages and had a great time. I think it may have inspired me to do some scrapbooking again soon. I can't say I haven't done any scrapbooking since our last retreat, it has just been digital. If you need a good place to start learning digital scrapbooking, go here. She's awesome.

Here is my favorite layout from the weekend, displayed Vanna style by Lily's finger.
